Alida C. Rijnders (1953) studied Dutch Language & Literature and Theatre Science in Leiden and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The subject of her Master in Theatre Science was about Shakespeare and his King Lear. Arising from her lifelong interest in Shakespeare and his family, the author spent ten years on the research required to write her book Susanna Shakespeare.
